We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality care for animals while assisting veterinarians in various clinical procedures. Duties
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
- Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
- Monitor animal health and behavior before, during, and after procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
- Provide pet grooming services as needed to ensure cleanliness and comfort.
- Utilize aseptic techniques during surgical preparations and procedures.
- Handle animals safely and effectively, ensuring their comfort and minimizing stress.
- Conduct X-ray imaging as required for diagnostic purposes.
- Assist with animal catheterization when necessary.
- Educate pet owners on proper pet care, nutrition, and training techniques.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in animal handling and care is essential.
- Knowledge of animal anatomy is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures related to veterinary medicine.
- Skills in dog training or handling are a plus.
- Experience with pet grooming is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in aseptic techniques is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
