Title: Technical Resource Planner

Purpose

To plan efficient staff utilization, that meets Maintenance and Operational requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Plan both medium- and long-term availability of production staff, in collaboration with Technical Managers, to ensure adequate and sufficient numbers are available across all sectional requirements.
  • Coordinate with sectional Managers for complementing leave plan that is in line with the company’s leave requirements.
  • Coordinate training of production staff and support compliance of mandatory and functional qualifications as per the training requirements
  • Publish 28-day rosters a week before the start of a cycle.
  • Identify possible resourcing gaps and propose mitigating actions.
  • Embrace and maintain a healthy, safe and secure working environment in compliance with company procedures, regulatory authorities and requirements of customer airlines.
  • Prepare and analyze periodic performance reports (i.e. training, leave and productivity reports) for management review
  • Conceptualize, develop and empower Line Managers on resource deployment rules, keeping in view business plans, strategy and specific service level agreements with customer airlines.
  • Transform/model these rules in the resource management system. Influence and interact with process owners and department heads for effective implementation of redesigned rules and processes.
  • Formulate and apply mathematical modeling and statistical analysis and other optimizing methods to develop and interpret What-if scenarios. Recommend the impact on resources and KPIs in line with KQ operating strategy to the business units. Challenge where required to optimize the resource plans for increased efficiencies.

Qualifications

  • University graduate or Diploma in relevant field.
  • Five (5) years’ experience in airline –operational areas
  • Experience in the fields related to Resource Management and Scheduling is an added advantage.
  • Working knowledge of KCAA/EASA Rules and Regulations
  • Knowledge in Systematic documentation of project reports/systems and processes
  • Good working knowledge of general IT systems and specific MRO application systems
