Zookeeper – Animal Care (Part-Time) Jobs in Grove City, PA at Keystone Safari
PART-TIME POSITION. Only part-time positions are available at this time.
Hoof stock experience required.
We are looking for skilled animal care personnel for a variety of species in multiple keeper levels.
You will be required to perform daily husbandry duties that include, but are not limited to, cleaning exhibits, diet preparation, general maintenance for assigned areas and effectively communicating with the public, your team members and the management team.
Must be a dependable, reliable, and hard-working individual.
Responsibilities
· Perform daily husbandry and minor maintenance duties for the assigned species
· Diet/meal preparation, feeding and restocking of feed supplies as needed and prescribed
· Effectively communicate daily information regarding the species in this positions care
Effectively carry out extra cleaning/maintenance tasks assigned by management
Skills (Required)
· Prior animal care experience (beyond just pets)
· Must be able to work weekends and holidays rotating with other staff member (if applicable)
· Strong communication, time management and organizational skills with the ability to accurately report daily information
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Physical stamina and dexterity
