Role Purpose:
Epol is looking for a Weighbridge Operator – Outbound to ensure that all outgoing finished products are weighed and recorded correctly.
Required Qualifications:
- Grade 12 with Math or Math Literacy
- Computer Literate
Required Experience:
- 1 to 2 years’ experience as a weighbridge operator will be an advantage.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of operating a weighbridge and completion of applicable documentation (record-keeping)
- SAP and Excel
- Communication Skills
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Attention to detail
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Ensure OTIF deliveries to all farms on a daily basis as per delivery schedule.
- Weigh, load, and complete all particulars.
- Data correctly captured
- Weigh empty and full vehicle and obtain weighbridge slip.
- Print out weighbridge slip for driver and relevant paperwork.
- Obtain particulars of driver, truck and seal numbers for record purposes.
- Weigh full vehicle and complete all particulars on computer system.
- Forward copy of weighbridge slip and sales/dispatch control form to relevant person/farm.
- Follow procedure for bulk loading.
- Monthly/ Weekly weighbridge calibration
