Veterinary Technician/Assistant Jobs in Stockton, CA at Family Pet Hospital (Stockton)
Family Pet hospital is a small animal hospital that practices preventative and diagnostic medicine. We are looking for someone who is a team player and can work with dogs+cats.
Responsibilities
-Be able to type/ document record
– Perform animal handling and restraint during examinations and procedures
– Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
– Monitor and record vital signs of animals
– Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
– Collect and process laboratory samples
– Perform animal catheterization and other diagnostic procedures
– Maintain cleanliness and organization of veterinary equipment and supplies
Requirements:
-Indicate familiarity with Ezyvet, VetRadar, Idexx in-house laboratory equipment
– Experience in animal handling, restraint, and husbandry (be able to pick up at least a 35lb dog onto a table)
– Ability to handle dogs, cats, and other small animals with care and compassion
– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written-answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, going over treatment plans, etc.
– Ability to work well in a team environment
-Must have flexible hours and your own transportation
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
