A high-quality veterinary hospital in Charleston, WV is seeking an energetic and hardworking Veterinary Technician / Assistant to join our team at Valley West Veterinary Hospital. We are a well-established, fast-paced practice looking for a dependable and enthusiastic team player who is passionate about working with animals and their owners. As a Veterinary Technician / Assistant, your duties will include but are not limited to assisting doctors in all types of veterinary care; performing lab tests such as chemistry profiles, fecal exams, and urinalysis; performing x-rays; assisting in surgeries; performing dental cleanings; preparing and dispensing medications; assisting with client education; and excellent customer service. Dependability and punctuality is a must. Must be able to lift 45 lbs. Ability to work weekends and holidays is required.
