We need senior technicians, so candidates must have at least 2+ years vet tech experience that includes a diverse background such as seeing emergencies, wellness/prevention, dental care, surgical procedures and more. (This is NON-NEGOTIABLE; it’s what we need to maintain our standard of care).

This position requires someone highly motivated who wants to take initiative and be a team Player!

This person needs to be skilled in the following technical area:

· Proper and safe restraint of patients during exams and treatments (Fear Free is a plus)

· Preparing and administering vaccinations based on AAHA recommendations and under the direction of the veterinarian.

· Ability to administer oral, topical, and injectable medication as directed by the veterinarian

· Performing diagnostics such as

· Urinalysis (w/ sediment evaluation)

· Ear Cytology

· CBC and Blood Chemistries (Familiar with Idexx Machines is a Plus)

· Positioning and restraint for digital radiographs, and ultrasounds

· Prepare patients for anesthetic procedures

· Placing IV catheter

· Proper surgical site prep and maintaining sterile fields

· Performing routine dental radiographs and cleanings on dogs and cats.

· Administering Anesthesia

· Monitoring patients while under anesthesia, and the ability to make needed adjustments under the direction of the veterinarian.

· Post-surgical sterilization of instruments, and equipment

· Ability to properly and accurately fill prescription medications

· Confidence in presenting estimates and invoices to clients.

· Strong understanding of the importance of client communication

Ideal Candidates:

· 2+ years of experience as a veterinary technician

· Excellent computer skills and has the ability to learn and assimilate quickly to new computer applications

· Aptitude for learning

· Strong Work Ethic

· Team player willing to jump in and help out

· Great communication skills

· Attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently

· Passion for excellent client and patient care

· Great at building long last relationships with clients and co-workers

· Possesses a strong understanding of the client/patient bond
