Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our animal patients. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced veterinary clinic and contribute to the well-being of animals. Duties: – Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals – Perform laboratory tests and analyze results – Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians – Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures – Handle and restrain animals during examinations and procedures – Perform pet grooming tasks such as bathing, nail trimming, and ear cleaning – Maintain accurate medical records for all patients – Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment plans – Clean and sanitize animal enclosures, exam rooms, and equipment – Monitor the health and well-being of hospitalized animals Experience: – Previous experience working as a Veterinary Technician or similar role is preferred – Proficiency in laboratory procedures and techniques – Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and practices – Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control protocols – Experience in handling dogs, cats, and other small animals – Knowledge of equine care is a plus – Understanding of veterinary critical care principles – Excellent animal husbandry skills Requirements: – High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology preferred – Certification as a Veterinary Technician is highly desirable – Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with pet owners and team members – Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment – Compassionate nature with a genuine love for animals We offer competitive pay based on experience.
