Full time veterinary assistant or Registered Veterinary Technician needed in a very busy two doctor practice. RVT is preferred but not required. A minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required, but higher education is a plus. A minimum of 1 year experience in the veterinary field is required. Applicant should be a quick learner, team player, and excellent communicator.
Job duties include: caring for inpatients’ needs twice daily, assisting doctors by restraining animals and readying supplies for exams and procedures, assisting in the end-of-day cleaning including sweeping, mopping, taking out trash, washing dishes and laundry.
Caring for patients on some weekends will be required once adequately trained. These shifts include 1-2 hours in the morning and 1-2 hours in the afternoon to take care of inpatients’ needs.
Pay and benefits are competitive for the area and based on experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour
