**SURGERY EXPERIENCE STRONGLY PREFERRED**

Only QUALIFIED candidates will be considered.

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist veterinarians in performing medical procedures and surgeries- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by veterinarians- Perform laboratory tests and analyze results- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during procedures- Monitor anesthesia during surgeries- Take x-rays- Provide nursing care to hospitalized animals- Educate pet owners on proper animal care, treatment and prevention- Maintain accurate medical records- Clean and maintain equipment as well as work areas.

– Certification as a Veterinary Technician or equivalent experience
– Strong knowledge of animal husbandry, physiology, anesthesia, surgery and care
– Experience in dog handling, animal restraint, and veterinary terminology
– Proficiency in laboratory procedures and techniques
– Ability to work effectively in a team environment
– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
– Compassionate nature and genuine love for animals
– Attention to detail and ability to multitask

Education & Experience: Requirements: High School Diploma or GED preferred; 2+ years related experience in Veterinary Medicine, over the age of 18

  • Job Type: Full-Time 30-40 hours a week.

Salary: NEGOTIABLE UPON EXPERIENCE

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Allentown, NJ 08501: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred).

Experience:

  • Veterinary Technician 2+ years

License/Certification:

  • Driver’s License (REQUIRED).

Schedule:

  • 8-10 hour shift
  • 2-3 Saturdays per month required (Only open 9 am- 1 pm)
