Veterinary Surgeon Jobs in Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland at Tempus Recruitment

Title: Veterinary Surgeon

Company: Tempus Recruitment

Location: Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland

We are recruiting Veterinary Surgeons and Veterinarians for permanent roles across Dublin and the surrounding areas, working with a wide range of independent practices, established veterinary groups, farm animal practices, equine clinics, mixed practices and veterinary hospitals.

Opportunities are available across small animal, large animal, farm, equine and mixed practice, with roles suited to vets at different stages of their career. Whether you are looking for a progressive small animal clinic, an ambulatory farm role, an equine-focused position, a mixed caseload or a lifestyle-led move to Ireland, we can help match you with practices that fit your goals.

Many practices offer flexible rota patterns, including full-time, part-time, four-day weeks and reduced weekend commitments. Some clinics operate with no OOH, while others offer shared and fairly compensated out-of-hours rotas, particularly within large animal, equine and mixed roles.

Typical duties may include consultations, diagnostics, routine surgery, dentistry, imaging, emergency case management, herd health, fertility work, equine ambulatory work, farm visits, clinical record-keeping and client communication, depending on the type of role.

Many clinics operate to high clinical and welfare standards, with well-equipped facilities, experienced support teams and clear development opportunities. Certificate support, mentorship, progression into Senior Vet or Lead Vet roles and relocation assistance may also be available.

Typical Benefits Package

  • Competitive base salary, typically €45,000–€80,000+
  • CPD allowance with certificate support at many practices
  • Paid VCI and professional memberships
  • 5–6 weeks annual leave plus public holidays
