Overview
Veterinary Receptionist/Assistant Jobs in Beaumont, TX at Veterinary Urgent Care
Job description
WHO WE NEED:
Do you strongly believe the amount of money someone has does not dictate whether they should own a pet as long as they love and try their best to care for them?
Is it important to you to help as many animals and people as possible each day?
Do you enjoy a fast-paced day?
We are seeking a veterinary receptionist who is community oriented and has an interest in serving its people and pets. The most important qualifications to bring to this job are a positive attitude, willingness to work/learn and being open minded. We are open to training including covering continuing education costs.
We are looking for an individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills to join our team as a veterinary receptionist. While Spanish is not required, bilingual candidates (Spanish and English) would be a great asset. As the face of our clinic, the receptionist is the first and last point of contact for our clients and plays a key role in creating a positive and lasting impression.
About Veterinary Urgent Care:
Veterinary Urgent Care is an independently owned, lower-cost animal urgent care facility with locations in Houston and Beaumont, TX. We offer urgent care and surgical services to the people and pets in these communities with the goal of providing efficient and affordable care whenever they need it most. We are the go-to clinic for clients who cannot afford services at the local ER, and we pride ourselves on finding solutions for pets and their owners.
Our Houston location opened in 2022 after taking over a veterinary clinic built in the 1930s (pretty sure it’s haunted). Since then, we have been developing an awesome and functional urgent care, updating equipment with digital x-ray, Idexx bloodwork, point-of-care ultrasound, and anesthesia machines to provide quality care to our patients. Ongoing renovations ensure a comfortable and efficient workspace for our team.
Now, we are expanding to Beaumont, TX, taking over a previously established emergency hospital and bringing our urgent care model to the area. As the first privately owned veterinary urgent care in Houston, we are excited to continue growing and evolving, creating a modern, supportive, and high-quality urgent care facility for pets and their owners.
We strive to create a supportive and safe culture within our hospitals, both for our team and our clients. We believe in continuous learning and professional growth to provide the best care possible to the animals in our communities. We support each other, leave egos at the door, and take pride in practicing the highest level of medicine possible within our resources. If you share these values, we welcome you to be part of our team as we continue to develop and expand.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Client communication including handling inquiries via phone and email such as giving information about clinic location, hours, operations and advising clients to seek medical care for their pets with a helpful attitude
Processing payments efficiently, accurately and documenting in veterinary software
