We are looking for team members to join our family! A position is available for a dedicated and caring experienced Veterinary Assistant/Technician. Further training is available for any applicant if needed. You will support our veterinarians and provide outstanding care to our patients and clients.Job responsibilitiesComplete patient check-ins and treatmentsCollect laboratory specimens from patients and prepare them for testing.Assist veterinarians with patient examinations and proceduresPerform dental prophylaxis, take radiographs, assist in surgeriesCalculate drug dosages correctly and prepare prescriptionsTreat every patient like they were your ownEnter medical records in Practice Management software (Cornerstone experience is a plus)Give excellent client service and educationQualifications and SkillsA proven track record of working as a veterinary technicianAttention to detailAbility to multitask and take initiativeAbility to efficiently prioritizeAbility to work in stressful situations while making sound decisionsCustomer service skillsExcellent verbal and written skills when assisting clients via phone, text or email. There will be some CSR responsibilities with this position.Must be able to lift patients up to 30 pounds alone, and patients over 40 pounds with assistance.Salary will be based on experience. Paid Holidays for full-time employees after 90 days.
