Part-Time Hybrid Veterinary Assistant / Receptionist

Camargo Animal Hospital is looking for a friendly, dependable, and compassionate part-time Veterinary Assistant / Receptionist to join our team in Madeira, Ohio.
This is a hybrid position, combining reception responsibilities with veterinary assistant duties. We are seeking someone who enjoys working with both people and animals.

What You’ll Do
Reception responsibilities
- Greet clients and their pets with a warm, professional attitude
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and assist with client questions
- Check clients in and out and process payments
- Maintain accurate patient and client records
- Communicate with clients regarding appointments, medications, and follow-up care
- Keep the reception area organized and welcoming
Veterinary assistant responsibilities
- Assist veterinarian and veterinary technician with patient care and appointments
- Restrain and handle dogs and cats
- Prepare exam rooms and treatment area
- Obtain and record patient information
- Assist with laboratory procedures, cleaning, and patient care as directed
- Maintain a clean, organized hospital environment
- Help keep appointments running smoothly
What We’re Looking For
- Previous veterinary, animal care, medical, or customer-service experience preferred
- Telephone skills
- Comfortable handling dogs and cats
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills
- Dependable, organized, and able to think independently
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Professional, compassionate, and attentive to detail
Pay: $15.00 – $17.00 per hour
