Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments of beneficiaries (Mother & Children) and provide evidence-based mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) interventions
  • Design and conduct awareness-raising sessions on various mental health issues for the beneficiaries and related staff
  • Provide counselling to the beneficiaries and take part in beneficiary conflict resolution
  • Provide training to the beneficiary mothers in different matters where they need psychosocial support on continuing home exercise and related activities.
  • Refer the clients to appropriate internal and external facilities and services, including medical services
  • Work with a multidisciplinary team (MDT) to develop a consensus baseline of the problems for each mother
  • Conduct special counselling to the special care beneficiaries (mentally and physically disabled) and beneficiary children
  • Educate beneficiary mother and children about their emotion and anger control, managing mental health and dealing with different personal issues
  • Take initiative to change the behavior of beneficiaries and counsel them to maintain a standard behavior
  • Support to produce relevant reports (e.g., case studies, lesson learned reports, client’s progress report) on short notice and generate relevant report of case handled and support provided
  • Maintain beneficiaries service register book and other relevant documentation
  • Conduct different need-based training for the beneficiaries and keep record of each awareness program and training
  • Any other responsibilities required by the job position and instructed by the supervisor

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Performing the responsibilities of Safeguarding committee as a member
  • Supporting the rehabilitation of beneficiaries from admission to release
  • Counselling staff as per need and instruction by the HR department
  • Taking part in inquiry as per instruction of the management
  • Supporting Beneficiary Development Committee if any need arise
  • Any other duties as per instruction of the supervisor

Requirements

  • Experience: 3 years
  • Education: diploma in psychology
  • Skills: mental health support, project support, mental health counseling, counseling & mentoring, social services knowledge
