Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist to join our team. This role involves assisting our veterinarian in daily medical tasks and managing front-desk duties. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate, detail-oriented individual who enjoys working with animals and people alike.
Key Responsibilities:
– Assist the veterinarian during examinations and procedures.
– Perform routine laboratory tests and care for animals.
– Handle front office duties, including scheduling appointments, managing client records, and answering phone calls.
– Maintain a clean and organized clinic, including exam rooms and reception area.
– Provide excellent customer service, ensuring all clients feel welcomed and cared for.
Qualifications:
– Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting is preferred
– Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures
– Proficiency in animal restraint techniques and handling various types of animals
– Familiarity with laboratory procedures and sample collection is a plus
– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
– Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
– Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
– Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
– Proficient in using computer software for scheduling appointments and managing medical records
