What You’ll Do
- Assist veterinarians during exams and procedures
- Administer medications as directed
- Help with catheter placement and lab work
- Monitor patient vitals and behavior
- Feed, clean, bathe, and comfort patients
- Keep the clinic clean, organized, and ready
- Safely handle and restrain animals
- Educate pet owners on care and medications
- Support the team with daily tasks
What Makes a Great Veterinary Assistant
- Experience in a veterinary setting (preferred)
- Strong communication and empathy
- Teachable, organized, detail‑oriented
- Calm under pressure and in emotional moments
- Comfortable with animals of all sizes
- Experience with dog behavior or handling is a plus
