Airport Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team, this is a full-time position and will require weekend coverage. Top consideration will be given to those with veterinary experience; however, we’re open to training and will consider all candidates with relevant/transferrable skills.
In this role, you will provide assistance to Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarians, including gentle animal handling and restraint during outpatient procedures such as physical exams, vaccines, and blood draws. You will prepare and clean patient areas throughout the day including exam rooms and procedural/treatment/surgery areas, anticipating team needs and ensuring preparedness and efficiency. This is an ideal position for efficient multi-taskers who enjoy a supportive role in a team-oriented environment!
This is a full-time position, with a 5/8, monthly rotating schedule and availability needed Monday-Saturday.
Full-time benefits and compensation:
Compensation: $16-$22/hour, based on experience and skillset
Bonus package: $500 for those with 3+ years of consecutive, current VA experience

Minimum qualifications and skillset:

3 + years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
Proficiency in the following skills
Assisting in rooms and surgery
Radiology set up and technique
Venipuncture/SQ/IM Injections
Proper lab sample and processing
Inpatient care
