Full Job Description
Benson Animal Hospital is a small one veterinarian clinic: serving dogs and cats in the Benson and surrounding areas. We also offer boarding and bathing services. We are open from 8am until 5:30pm on Monday through Friday. We are also open some Saturdays from 9am until 12pm. As a veterinary assistant you will provide a high quality of care to both customers and their pets when coming into the hospital. It is our main goal at Benson Animal Hospital to deliver the highest quality of care and a healthy pet to owners.
Assist customers and veterinarian
Maintaining hospital cleanliness
Give medications when needed
Restraining animals
Use communication, and computer skills
Being able to handle difficult situations
Feed, water and provide proper care to animals
Have an open mind to situations and be willing to learn new things
Maintaining cleanliness of kennels and boarding areas
Provide care to animals in surgery
Being able to monitor vitals during necessary procedures
Obtain medical history and vital signs from appointments
Draw up vaccines and necessary medications
Experience preferred
Pay based on experience
