At Olney-Sandy Spring Veterinary Hospital, our veterinary assistants are an integral part of our healthcare team. Veterinary assistants work directly with the doctor to provide medical support and help the doctor achieve greater efficiency by relieving technical work, record keeping, and communication tasks. They have a very significant role in communicating with and educating clients about their pet’s health.
Skills desired (but willing to train):
Animal restraint, phlebotomy, catheter placement, dentistry, radiology, surgical preparation, anesthesia monitoring, pharmacy, ultrasound guided cystocentesis, post -surgical monitoring and recovery, strong communications skills, client education.
