We are currently remodeling our practice and growing from two exam rooms to four in addition to some great equipment upgrades. Greenwood Veterinary Clinic is looking for a compassionate Veterinarian to help grow our thriving practice! This is a great opportunity for a new grad looking for mentorship or an experienced doctor looking for a varied case load! About the Hospital
We are committed to practicing high quality, progressive, individualized medical care for our patients. We provide you with the tools to help your patients through industry-leading medical and diagnostic capabilities. Our neighborhood animal hospital has been serving our community since 1975, offering lifetime health care for small animals and farm/mixed animals (15%), vaccinations, radiology, dentistry, general surgery including spay and neuter, as well as diagnosis and treatment. We have a full in-house laboratory, radiology services with digital x-rays and portable ultrasound, dental care, anesthesia and in-house pharmacy so we can provide the best care to our patients in a comfortable environment.

Responsibilities:
Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problems
Treat and dress wounds
Perform surgery on animals
Test for and vaccinate against diseases
Operate medical equipment, such as x-ray machines
Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments
Prescribe medication
Work closely in collaboration with team members to provide high quality care
Qualifications:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required
Licensure in the state/s candidate will be working
Ability to show compassion to both pets and their owners
Outstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasks
Ability to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animal
Strong fondness and understanding of animals
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of animal behavior
Ability to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research and surgery of animals
