Associate Veterinarian
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Associate Veterinarian to join our veterinary team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive medical care to a diverse range of animals, including companion animals, and large animal and exotics are a plus if you like treating those species! The role involves diagnosing and treating medical conditions, performing surgical procedures, and ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare. The Associate Veterinarian will also communicate effectively with clients, offering guidance and education on pet health and wellness, while adhering to professional ethics and standards.
Responsibilities
- Deliver veterinary medical services across various disciplines including veterinary internal medicine, dentistry, surgery, and exotic/mixed animal medicine (those are optional)
- Perform routine and complex veterinary surgeries with precision and care.
- Conduct thorough examinations and diagnose health issues in animals, providing appropriate treatment plans.
- Offer compassionate animal care, ensuring the well-being of each patient from admission to discharge.
- Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care strategies.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with veterinary standards.
- Uphold professional ethics and adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines in veterinary practice.
- Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine through ongoing education and professional development.
- Assist in mixed animal medicine as needed, providing flexible support across different species.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of veterinary medicine, including companion animal medicine and exotic animal medicine.
- Proficiency in veterinary surgery and dentistry procedures.
