CheckIn and CheckOut are privately owned veterinarian clinics, located in Sun Prairie WI, and are seeking a compassionate and collaborative Associate veterinarian to join our growing team focused on small animal practices. The clinic practices low stress and fear free veterinarian care along with the veterinarian’s commitment to the emotional as well as physical health of our patients, making the exams a positive experience for everyone involved.

- CHECKOUT Vet is a client and pet-centric wellness center for dogs and cats. The focus is convenience, safety and security as well as reducing patient and client stress and anxiety. The clinic is a ‘drive-through’ clinic where pets remain in vehicles for wellness services.
- CHECKIN Vet is full-service animal clinic providing medical consultation, preventative care, spays & neuters, complete laboratory services, diagnostic radiography, dentistry, surgery, reproductive services, prenatal care and other specialized veterinary services.

The Associate veterinarian is required to be licensed in Wisconsin, maintain their license and pursue continuing education. This position is open to new graduates and experienced veterinarians. The Associate veterinarian will be joining a team of 20; 5 veterinarians and 15 support staff consisting of certified veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants and customer service representatives.
This position offers flexibility to work on a part-time (up to 29 hours/week) or full-time (+30 hours/week) basis. Day or afternoon shifts are available, some weekend work is required.
The Associate veterinarian has the primary responsibility for patient care and must strive to provide the highest quality medical and surgical care for our patients.
Responsibilities for the Associate veterinarian include but are not limited to:
- Perform thorough physical exams
- Recommend comprehensive diagnostic screening
- Correctly interpret diagnostic results
- Perform appropriate pre-op exams & diagnostic
- Practice good surgical techniques
- Communicate patient finding, possible diagnostics, prognosis and recommended plan to owner
- Prescribe appropriate medications for patient’s condition
- Works collaboratively with staff on all levels
- Assists in mentoring and training staff
- Perform other duties as are needed

Pay: $55.00 – $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 29.0 – 40.0 per week
