Vet Assistant Jobs in Early, TX at Central Texas Veterinary Hospital
Job Requirements:
*MUST be 18 years of age or older
*MUST be comfortable with talking to clients in person and on the phone
*MUST be willing to work with both small and large animals
*MUST be physically capable of lifting 40 lbs and staying on your feet for long periods of time
*MUST be willing to do manual labor at times.
*MUST be able to work most Saturdays
Required Work Experience:
*Experience as a vet assistant is not required but would be helpful. We are willing to train the candidate that exhibits the right attributes for the job.
Job Responsibilities:
We are looking to add another motivated, hard working individual to our team. Our atmosphere includes a close knit group of people who treat each other like family.
This position includes:
*Assist the doctors during appointments, surgeries, treatment of animals, farm calls, and all other aspects of the clinic
*Perform proper animal restraint
*Provide compassionate care to patients
*Maintain a clean work environment within the clinic
*Receive animals to be admitted
*Release animals to their owners as directed by the doctor and ensure that every animal released is properly cleaned and groomed
*Walk, feed and water all animals as instructed by the doctor
*Recognize and report any unusual condition or abnormal behavior patients under our care may be exhibiting
*Odd jobs inside and outside
Hours: (must be able to work some Saturdays)
Monday- Friday: 8 am – 6 pm
Saturday: 8 am- 12 pm
*Work duties may extend past hours on high volume days or emergencies.
