Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor/ Lead Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess strong leadership skills to oversee daily operations in a pet care environment. This role involves managing a team of technicians, ensuring high standards of pet care, and providing exceptional customer service. The Supervisor/ Lead Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining the well-being of animals while fostering a positive atmosphere for both pets and their owners.
Responsibilities
Supervise and lead a small group technicians and balance a positive environment.
Maintain cleanliness and organization within the facility, including kennels and grooming areas, and outdoor areas.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners to ensure that all pet needs are met.
Assist with animal handling during check in and check out, indoor and outdoor play, basic grooming sessions and ensure the safety of all animals in the facility.
Monitor the health and behavior of pets in care, reporting any concerns to owner or staff as needed.
Implement best practices for animal care and ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
Skills
Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and address their needs.
Knowledge of kennel operations and best practices for animal handling.
Familiarity with dog training methods is a plus.
Previous experience as a veterinary assistant or in a veterinary setting is advantageous. Not required
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent leadership skills to motivate and guide team members effectively.
