Role Purpose
To lead Graceworld Foundation’s digital communication and social media presence by creating, managing, and publishing engaging content that promotes the Foundation’s programs, events, campaigns, partnerships, and community impact stories across online platforms.
Job Summary
The Social Media Manager will be responsible for planning, creating, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting on digital content across Graceworld Foundation’s social media platforms. The role will support visibility for community health, WASH, food security, education, livelihoods, youth and women empowerment, fundraising campaigns, volunteer engagement, and other Foundation initiatives. The ideal candidate should be creative, organized, digitally skilled, and able to tell powerful stories that reflect the Foundation’s mission of building resilient communities for shared purpose.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management
- Manage Graceworld Foundation’s social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, and YouTube where applicable.
- Develop and implement a monthly social media content calendar aligned with Foundation programs, events, campaigns, and awareness days.
- Create, edit, and publish engaging posts, captions, reels, short videos, stories, graphics, and campaign updates.
- Ensure consistent posting and active online presence across all approved digital platforms.
- Monitor comments, messages, mentions, and inquiries, and respond professionally in line with the Foundation’s values.
Content Creation & Storytelling
- Develop creative content that highlights Graceworld Foundation’s community impact, programs, beneficiaries, partners, volunteers, and success stories.
- Write compelling captions, short articles, campaign messages, event highlights, and human-interest stories.
- Work with the media and program teams to collect photos, videos, testimonials, field stories, and event updates for online publication.
- Support photography, videography, live updates, and content capture during Foundation events and outreach activities.
- Create awareness content around community health, WASH, environment, food security, education, livelihoods, women empowerment, youth development, and social protection.
Brand Visibility & Communication
- Ensure all social media content follows Graceworld Foundation’s brand identity, logo usage, colors, tone, and communication standards.
- Promote Foundation events, job vacancies, volunteer opportunities, fundraising campaigns, partner activities, and community initiatives.
- Highlight partners, donors, sponsors, stakeholders, and collaborators appropriately across digital platforms.
- Support online visibility for campaigns, reports, newsletters, website updates, and public communications.
- Maintain a professional and positive digital image for Graceworld Foundation.
Digital Campaigns & Engagement
- Plan and support digital campaigns for awareness days, fundraising, advocacy, community outreach, and program visibility.
- Develop creative strategies to increase followers, engagement, reach, and public awareness.
- Track trending topics, relevant awareness days, and digital opportunities that align with the Foundation’s mission.
- Engage online audiences through interactive content, stories, polls, reels, and community-centered posts.
- Support live event coverage through real-time posting, short clips, stories, and photo updates.
Monitoring, Reporting & Analytics
- Track social media performance including reach, engagement, follower growth, views, shares, comments, and campaign results.
- Prepare simple weekly or monthly social media performance reports.
- Use analytics to recommend improvements in content strategy, posting times, audience engagement, and campaign performance.
- Maintain a digital archive of published content, photos, videos, captions, and campaign materials.
Essential
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism, Media Studies, Marketing, Public Relations, Digital Media, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in social media management, digital marketing, content creation, or communications.
- Strong knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, X/Twitter, and Meta Business Suite.
- Ability to create engaging captions, social media posts, short-form video ideas, reels, and campaign content.
- Basic graphic design skills using Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or similar tools.
- Basic video editing skills using CapCut, Premiere Pro, Canva, or other editing tools.
- Good understanding of digital branding, online audience engagement, and content scheduling.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and Kiswahili.
Desirable
- Experience working with NGOs, churches, community-based organizations, humanitarian programs, or social impact campaigns.
- Knowledge of website content updates, blog posting, email newsletters, or basic SEO.
- Experience in photography, videography, livestream support, or field content documentation.
- Ability to develop campaign concepts for fundraising, awareness, advocacy, and community mobilization.
- Experience using social media analytics tools and preparing simple digital performance reports.
