Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Security Officer role based in Port Harcourt . The Security Officer will monitor premises, patrol designated areas, and ensure that access points are secure at all times. Responsibilities include controlling entry and exit, verifying identification, responding to incidents and alarms, and reporting any suspicious activities or safety concerns. The role also involves enforcing site regulations, assisting visitors, documenting daily occurrences, and cooperating with management and local authorities when necessary. The Security Officer will be expected to maintain a professional presence, follow established procedures, and contribute to a safe environment for staff, visitors, and property.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in security, law enforcement, or a related protective services role.
- Knowledge of basic security protocols, access control procedures, and emergency response practices.
- Strong observation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to assess risks calmly and accurately.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, including clear verbal reporting and incident documentation.
- Physical fitness sufficient for patrolling, standing for extended periods, and responding quickly to incidents.
