Role Description Secondary School Subject Tutors and Subject Reviewers will deliver engaging online lessons, tutorials, and academic support to secondary school learners across various subjects. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and presenting curriculum-aligned lessons, assigning and grading assessments, providing constructive feedback, and tracking learner progress. Subject Reviewers will evaluate and improve learning materials, review assessments for accuracy and clarity, and ensure content aligns with educational standards and institutional guidelines. Both roles collaborate with academic teams to refine course content, support student success, and maintain high-quality teaching and learning experiences. This is a full-time remote role, requiring consistent availability for live sessions, online office hours, and timely responses to learner inquiries.
Qualifications
- Strong subject-matter expertise in one or more secondary school disciplines (e.g., Mathematics, Sciences, English, Social Sciences, or other relevant subjects).
- Proficiency in online teaching methodologies, including virtual classroom tools, learning management systems, and digital assessment platforms.
- Demonstrated skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, and educational content review to ensure accuracy, relevance, and clarity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, learner-friendly manner.
- Ability to provide constructive feedback, mentor learners, and adapt teaching strategies to diverse learning styles and backgrounds.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the capacity to manage multiple classes, assignments, and deadlines in a remote setting.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or a relevant subject area; teaching certification or experience in secondary education is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with African educational systems and international exam standards (e.g., IGCSE, A-levels, or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Reliable internet access and comfort working in a fully remote, technology-driven environment.
