Position: Seasonal Labourer for Parks
Be part of the Parks and Recreation team in Lindsay, ON as a Seasonal Labourer focused on Trails and Cemetery maintenance.
Your role encompasses property inspections, equipment operation, and public service.
In this dynamic role, you will assist the Supervisor in the Trails and Cemetery Operations. You’ll be responsible for grass cutting, trail repairs, and general site maintenance while ensuring adherence to safety protocols. The position requires flexibility in hours as you may work days, evenings, or weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct property inspections and monitor for vandalism
• Operate equipment for maintenance tasks
• Perform winter snow and ice control
• Manage grounds maintenance and tree planting
• Liaise with families for interment services
Requirements:
• Secondary school diploma required
• Experience in grounds maintenance preferred
• Knowledge of OHSA and WHMIS essential
• Valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s Licence
• Strong communication and customer service skills
