Primary Responsibilities
- Perform study-related activities per the requirements of protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Caregiving for livestock species
- Perform routine maintenance to ensure functionality of facilities and equipment.
- Generate accurate records of experimental procedures, observations, and results using Good Documentation Practices (ALCOA) to ensure data integrity.
- Maintain a good attitude and be willing to learn from your teammates as well as teach your teammates.
- Be willing to speak up and challenge norms to improve the performance of the business.
- Participate in weekly meetings and be prepared to provide updates to the broader team on items pertinent to your Key Results Areas.
- Other tasks as assigned by Study Directors/Investigators or the Research Coordinator
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in animal science, biology, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Experience handling and working with livestock species, particularly cattle.
Travel
- The role is based out of Manhattan, KS with primary locations in the nearby surrounding area. Approximately 10% overnight travel will be required as study activities warrant.
