Role Description The Pharmacist role at Tonia Pharmacy Ltd. is a full-time, on-site position based in Abuja. The Pharmacist will dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications accurately, provide counseling on proper drug use, side effects, and interactions, and ensure adherence to regulatory and safety standards. Daily tasks include reviewing prescriptions for appropriateness, maintaining accurate patient records, managing inventory, monitoring stock levels, and overseeing storage conditions. The Pharmacist will collaborate with other healthcare professionals, support health education initiatives, and contribute to quality assurance and continuous improvement in pharmacy services. The role also involves assisting customers with health-related inquiries and promoting responsible use of medicines and healthcare products.
Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in clinical pharmacy practice, including safe dispensing, medication counseling, and pharmacovigilance.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacology, dosage calculations, drug interactions, and regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical services.
  • Proficiency in pharmacy management systems, inventory control, and documentation of patient and prescription records.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, with the ability to explain medical information clearly and respectfully.
  • Attention to detail, strong ethical standards, and commitment to patient safety and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, manage time efficiently, and adapt to a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) from a recognized institution, with full professional registration and current practicing license.
  • Relevant experience in community or hospital pharmacy is highly beneficial; familiarity with local healthcare context in Abuja is an advantage.
