Kennel Overnight Attendant
We are seeking hard-working, self-motivated, and passionate dog and cat lover to join our professional team! As an Overnight Team Member, you will be responsible for providing the highest quality of care to all our four-legged guests. Position Overview: This position requires comfort with all sizes and breeds of dogs and cats. The position is physically demanding and requires you to be on your feet for long periods of time. Our overnight team members play a crucial role in our hospital operations. Each night, you will be responsible for the following:
Ensuring the facility is clean and ready for the next day’s operational routine.
Monitoring patients in kennel areas by checking each animal individually for any abnormal activity. This position not only includes loving on our furry guests but cleaning up their messes.
Report all abnormal patient activity to supervisors.
Housekeeping duties which include but are not limited to: sweeping, mopping, laundry, disposing of trash, sanitizing, and restocking inventory.
Additionally, you will assist the Overnight Hospital Technician with restraining animals while the Tech is giving injections, placing IV catheters, drawing blood, and administering oral medications.
Recognize emergency situations.
Able to stand for multiple hours at a time along with being able to bend and kneel repeatedly. This position can be very physically demanding.
Able to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
Charting patients boarding stay.
