About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced, proactive and highly organized Operation Theater Manager to oversee the daily operations of our surgical services. The successful candidate will ensure the efficient management of operating theaters, maintain the highest standards of patient safety, have good ability to to effectivily coordinate with healthcare professionals and lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Operation Theater department.
- Coordinate surgical schedules to ensure optimal utilization of operating rooms.
- Supervise and support OT nursing and technical staff.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection prevention protocols and accreditation standards.
- Monitor the availability and maintenance of surgical equipment and supplies.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthetists, nursing teams and other departments to ensure seamless patient care.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Manage departmental budgets, inventory and resource allocation.
- Conduct staff performance evaluations and identify training and development needs.
- Ensure accurate documentation, reporting and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- BS Operation Theater Technology, M.Phil Operation Theater Technology.
- Minimum 3 years of as Operation Theater Manager or in a supervisory role.
- Additional Certification from PHC (Punjab Healthcare Commission) is an advantage.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Sound knowledge of OT protocols, infection control, patient safety and quality standards.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
