Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medico Veterinario to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality veterinary care to a variety of animals, diagnosing illnesses, and developing treatment plans. You will work closely with pet owners to educate them on animal health and wellness, ensuring the best possible outcomes for their beloved companions.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health status.
Diagnose and treat various medical conditions and injuries in pets.
Administer vaccinations and medications as required.
Perform surgical procedures when necessary, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate medical records for each patient, documenting treatments and progress.
Provide guidance and education to pet owners regarding animal care, nutrition, and preventative measures.
Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient clinic operations.
Stay updated on advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Qualifications
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
Valid veterinary license to practice in the state of employment.
Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to develop effective treatment plans.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members.
Compassionate nature with a genuine love for animals.
Experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays as needed.
