Responsibilities:
– Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
– Perform laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures
– Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
– Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
– Take and develop X-rays of animals
– Provide basic grooming services such as bathing and nail trimming
– Assist with dog training exercises as needed
Requirements:
– High school diploma or equivalent
– Completion of a veterinary technician program or equivalent experience
– Certification as a veterinary technician preferred
– Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
– Experience with X-ray equipment and techniques
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to handle animals with care and compassion
– Physical stamina to lift and restrain animals as necessary
