Countryside Veterinary Service, P.C. is seeking a dedicated Farm Animal Veterinary Assistant to join our team! This full-time position will provide hands-on support in the care and treatment of farm animals.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with medical and surgical procedures for farm animals, particularly equine and bovine.
Perform animal restraint to ensure both animal and veterinarian safety.
Provide support with clerical work, including maintaining accurate records and documentation.
Drive the veterinarian in the veterinary truck from farm to farm.
Stock and maintain veterinary truck with necessary supplies and equipment.
Assist the veterinary team in delivering high-quality care to farm animals.
Qualifications:
Experience with equine and bovine restraint is required.
Ability to perform physical tasks and handle large animals safely.
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
Excellent driving record.
Previous experience in veterinary or farm animal care preferred.
Hours vary day to day depending on the doctor’s schedule, but in general range from 7:30am-5:00pm. No weekend hours required.
