Kennel Technician Weekends Jobs in Owens Cross Roads, AL at Felines & Canines Hunter Stephenson Rescue Center
We’re looking to add a part-time or full-time dog-loving member to our Rescue Center team! Felines & Canines Rescue Center (www.FCRescueCenter) is located in Owens Cross Roads, AL. We’re a high-volume, fast-paced animal shelter that focuses on saving dogs and cats across Northern Alabama, providing them with exceptional care, and relocating the weekly via the ASPCA to adoption centers in the midwest.
-We offer a set schedule, holiday pay, PTO, excellent work/life balance, caring, relaxed work environment. Health and/or Dental Insurance is available for employees working 30+ hours per week after six months employment. 401K with up to 3% matching available after 90 days of employment.
-Hourly pay starts at $12/hr and increases based on experience with raises after 90 days of employment.
Our animal care-taking position is extremely physical and deeply rewarding. It combines a great deal of daily kennel cleaning and animal intake, exercise, engagement. A typical day of work will look like:
7:30am – Dog walks on our 10 acre property
Morning – Cleaning kennels, laundry, dishes (morning is VERY cleaning heavy)
*Paid 1hr Lunch Break*
Afternoon – Dog/puppy playtime, spot cleaning, dog/puppy intake (includes bathing and proving care to new dogs/puppies)
3:00pm – Dog walks, feeding dinner, ensure everyone is tucked in and comfortable for the night
3:30-4:30pm – Day is done (time varies based on quantity of dogs we have in care)
