Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment for pets. As a Kennel Technician, you will be responsible for the daily care of animals in our facility, ensuring their health, safety, and well-being while also assisting with various tasks related to animal handling and customer service.
Duties
Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising dogs and other pets.
Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff or management.
Assist with animal restraint during grooming or veterinary procedures as needed.
Support pet owners with customer service inquiries, providing information about services offered.
Help with the administration of medications as directed by veterinary staff.
Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in animal handling and care techniques.
Skills
Strong knowledge of pet care practices, including feeding, grooming, and general health monitoring.
Experience in animal handling and restraint techniques is preferred.
Familiarity with veterinary terminology and procedures is a plus; experience as a veterinary technician or assistant is advantageous.
Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and address their needs.
Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
Compassionate attitude towards animals with the ability to handle them safely and gently.
Previous experience in pet sitting or dog handling is beneficial but not required.

Pay: $8.00 – $12.00 per hour
