About the Position
We’re looking for an experienced Kennel Technician to join our afternoon/evening team. This is not an entry-level position. We’re seeking someone who has previous professional experience working with dogs and understands canine body language, safe handling, and what exceptional care looks like.

What You’ll Do
- Provide individualized care for our lodging and enrichment dogs
- Safely handle dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities
- Rotate dogs through private play yards and enrichment activities
- Monitor health, behavior, and comfort throughout your shift
- Feed meals and administer medications according to detailed instructions
- Keep suites, play yards, dishes, and common areas exceptionally clean
- Prepare dogs for bedtime with calm, consistent evening routines
- Communicate observations with the team to ensure every dog receives personalized care
- Help create a peaceful, low-stress environment where dogs can thrive
What We’re Looking For
- Previous professional dog care experience is required (boarding, daycare, veterinary, shelter, rescue, grooming, or training)
- Excellent understanding of canine body language and behavior
- Comfortable safely handling multiple dogs throughout the day
- Dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented
- Calm under pressure and able to make good decisions
- Friendly and professional with clients and coworkers
- Physically capable of standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in all weather conditions
- Passionate about providing exceptional care—not just checking boxes
Schedule
- We are seeking an employee with a flexible schedule.
- Our normal operating hours are 8am to 6pm most days.
- This is a part-time role, 32 or less hours per week with room for growth.
