What will you be doing?
- Lead the accounting function, ensuring the integrity of the general ledger and financial records across the Tanzania hospitality properties.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and Company reporting standards.
- Support in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, financial planning, and performance reporting to support informed business decisions.
- Ensure compliance with Tanzanian statutory requirements including TRA, VAT, PAYE, SDL, WCF, NSSF, and other regulatory obligations.
- Coordinate internal and external audits while strengthening financial governance and internal control frameworks.
- Oversee the full accounting cycle including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Inventory, and financial reconciliations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance team while driving continuous improvement of financial processes and ERP systems.
Your team and working environment:
You'll be part of one of Tanzania's most exciting safari hospitality environments, supporting diverse operations, safeguarding financial integrity, and delivering memorable service.
Your experience and skills include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- CPA (T) qualification is mandatory.
- Minimum of five (5) years' progressive accounting experience, including experience in a senior accounting or finance leadership role.
- Experience within hospitality, tourism, hotel, safari lodge, or multi-site operations is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Tanzanian tax legislation, IFRS, financial reporting standards, and statutory compliance.
- Hands-on experience with TRA online systems, ERP/accounting software, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated experience preparing financial statements, managing external audits, and implementing strong internal controls.
- Strong analytical, leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills with a high level of integrity and attention to detail.
