Job Summary
As an Animal Technician, you will play a crucial role in the care and well-being of animals. Your responsibilities will include providing support in various aspects of animal care and facility maintenance.
Responsibilities
Assist in the daily care and monitoring of animals
Administer medications as directed by veterinary staff
Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene within animal housing areas
Monitor animal behavior and report any abnormalities
Assist in surgical procedures and post-operative care
Perform routine health checks on animals
Support with feeding, grooming, and exercising animals
Experience
Knowledge of veterinary critical care practices
Experience with equine care is a plus
Familiarity with kennel operations
Understanding of animal physiology and anatomy
Proficiency in animal husbandry techniques
Ability to administer medications to animals
Skilled in aseptic techniques for handling animals
Strong animal handling skills
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: From $29.00 per hour
Schedule:
8 hour shift
Day shift
Monday to Friday
Rotating weekends
Weekends as needed
