Kennel Assistant
Responsibilities:
– Provide daily care and attention to animals in the kennel facility
– Feed, water, and exercise animals according to their specific needs
– Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas
– Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to the supervisor
– Administer medications or treatments as directed by the veterinarian or supervisor
– Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming
– Interact with customers and provide excellent customer service
– Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
Qualifications:
– Previous experience working with animals is preferred
– Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and with compassion
– Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
– Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and strenuous activities as required
