Junior Veterinary Surgeon
As a Junior Veterinary Surgeon, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality medical and surgical care to animals while working under the mentorship of senior veterinary staff. Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Care: Conduct routine consultations, physical examinations, and diagnostic assessments for a variety of patients.
- Surgical Support: Perform basic soft-tissue surgeries (e.g., neutering, wound repairs) and assist senior surgeons with complex orthopedic or emergency procedures.
- Diagnostics: Interpret radiographs, ultrasound images, and laboratory results (bloodwork, urinalysis, cytology) to develop effective treatment plans.
- Emergency Response: Provide triage and stabilization for urgent cases and manage inpatient care during recovery.
- Client Communication: Clearly explain diagnoses, treatment options, and preventative care (vaccinations, parasite control) to pet owners with empathy and professionalism.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely electronic medical records for all patient interactions.
