Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Hospital Information Officer (Field-Based) to oversee data collection, record management, and health information systems directly at our field healthcare sites.
The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between patient care and digital record systems, ensuring accurate, timely, and secure handling of medical and administrative data using modern computer tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Entry & Management: Accurately enter and maintain patient records, admission/discharge data, and clinical statistics into the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Field Data Collection: Visit clinical wards, outpatient departments, and mobile clinics to collect health data directly from healthcare teams.
- Computer System Maintenance: Assist staff with daily computer software operations, system navigation, and basic troubleshooting of hospital information software.
- Report Generation: Prepare weekly and monthly statistical reports using spreadsheets and database software to support decision-making.
- Data Security & Privacy: Ensure strict compliance with patient confidentiality laws and maintain secure digital backup systems for all clinical data.
Requirements
- Experience: 1-3 years
- Education: diploma in any discipline
