We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team in a high-volume spay/neuter clinic, associated with the Washington County TN Animal Shelter. This position is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys surgery, wants to make a meaningful impact on animal welfare, and thrives in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.
Our mission is to provide safe, high-quality, affordable sterilization services that reduce pet overpopulation and improve the lives of animals in our community.
Position Responsibilities
The High-Volume Spay/Neuter Veterinarian will:
- Perform efficient, high-quality spay and neuter surgeries on dogs and cats
- Conduct pre-surgical examinations and determine surgical eligibility
- Diagnose and address surgical or anesthesia-related concerns
- Ensure appropriate pain management and post-operative care
- Work collaboratively with experienced veterinary support staff
- Maintain accurate medical and surgical records through Clinic HQ
- Follow established medical protocols while exercising sound professional judgment
- Help maintain a safe, efficient, and compassionate surgical environment
What We’re Looking For
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) degree
- Active veterinary license in [TN], or ability to obtain one
- Professional Liability Insurance or be willing to obtain
- Experience performing spay/neuter procedures preferred
- High-volume surgical experience is a plus, but training and mentorship may be available for the right candidate
- Strong surgical skills and sound medical judgment
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of patient care
- Commitment to animal welfare and affordable veterinary care
- Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively with a fast-paced team
