Role Description The Healthcare Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Yangon, responsible for overseeing student and staff health and wellness within the school community. This role includes managing the school clinic or health room, providing first aid and basic medical care, maintaining health records, and coordinating with local healthcare providers and hospitals when needed. The Healthcare Officer will implement health and safety protocols, support vaccination or health screening initiatives, and contribute to emergency preparedness and response plans. They will educate students and staff on hygiene, preventive healthcare, and wellness practices, and collaborate with school leadership and teachers to ensure a safe, supportive learning environment. The role also involves communicating clearly and compassionately with families regarding health-related concerns and guidance.
Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess skills in Hospital Operations and Hospital Management for effective coordination of school health services and medical referrals.
  • Candidates should possess strong Customer Service and Communication skills to interact professionally and empathetically with students, families, and staff.
  • Candidates should possess foundational Medicine-related knowledge, such as nursing, paramedic training, or general medical practice, to provide basic clinical care and health guidance.
  • Relevant healthcare certification or degree (e.g., nursing, public health, medicine, or allied health) is highly beneficial.
  • Experience in school health services, pediatric care, or community health settings is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of first aid, CPR, and emergency response procedures is preferred.
  • Ability to maintain accurate medical records, respect confidentiality, and follow regulatory and safeguarding standards.
  • Comfort working in a multicultural, international school environment
