Role Description The General Practitioner will provide full-spectrum primary care services, including patient consultations, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions, routine health checks, and preventive care. Daily responsibilities include taking medical histories, performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and coordinating referrals to specialists when needed. The practitioner will collaborate with nursing staff, maintain accurate and timely medical records, and contribute to practice protocols and quality improvement initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Kroonstad, requiring consistent presence during practice hours and active participation in patient care and team meetings.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong clinical skills in Medicine and Primary Care.
- Candidates should possess experience and competence in Family Medicine.
- Candidates should possess the ability to collaborate effectively with Nursing professionals.
- Candidates should possess a commitment to ongoing Training and professional development.
- Relevant medical degree and completion of accredited general practitioner training.
- Valid license or registration to practice as a General Practitioner as required by local regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a busy practice setting.
