Job Purpose:
Our long-standing client is seeking a reliable and
hands-on
General Operative to support operations at their busy planting nursery. This is a full-time, outdoor-based role with the opportunity to go permanent after a successful 13-week period.
Key Responsibilities:
General site duties including tidying, lifting, and handling plants
Supporting potting, planting, and preparing nursery stock
Assisting with packing and loading orders for dispatch
Maintaining a clean and
safe working environment
Helping with general upkeep and light maintenance tasks
Following health and safety guidelines at all times
Person Specification:
Physically fit and happy to work outdoors in all weather
Hardworking, dependable, and a team player
Comfortable with manual work and repetitive tasks
Previous experience in horticulture, groundskeeping, or nursery work is a bonus but not essential
Benefits:
£13.21 per hour
Monday to Friday – no weekends
