Edge Recruitment are actively looking for 2x Ground Maintenance/Gardeners for a established client based in the Oxford area.
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grounds Maintenance Worker to
join our team
. This role is essential for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and functionality of our outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of landscape maintenance, groundskeeping, and the use of various hand and power tools. Hours:
07:00 – 15:30 Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: £12.60 per hour
Responsibilities
* Perform regular groundskeeping tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
* Maintain flower beds, shrubs, and trees through planting, watering, and pruning.
* Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete maintenance tasks.
* Irrigate gardens and landscaped areas to ensure optimal growth.
* Dig holes for planting or other landscaping needs as required.
* Assist in the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems.
* Clear debris from pathways, gardens, and other outdoor areas to maintain cleanliness.
* Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
Requirements
* Proven experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance is preferred.
* Familiarity with hand tools and power tools commonly used in gardening and landscaping.
* Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues is advantageous.
* Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
* Strong physical stamina to perform manual labour including lifting, digging, and standing for extended periods.
* A keen eye for detail to ensure high standards of maintenance are met.
* A valid driving licence may be required for operating company vehicles.
