Position: Veterinary Technician
As a Veterinary Technician at Beaver Brook Animal Hospital, you’ll play a critical role in supporting our medical team and ensuring each patient receives the highest standard of care. This position requires strong technical skills, clear and compassionate communication, and a genuine passion for animal health and welfare. Experience or certification in Fear Free handling is highly valued, as is a commitment to maintaining a calm, low-stress environment for both patients and clients.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed or Certified Veterinary Technician (preferred or required, based on state)
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience; prior leadership experience preferred
  • Proficiency in anesthesia, dentistry, and nursing care
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in a Fear Free or low-stress handling environment is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 – $29.00 per hour based on experience and certification/licensed.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Rotating Saturdays

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Veterinary technician: 4 years (Required)

License/Certification:

  • Veterinary Technician Certification (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Wethersfield, CT 06109: Relocate before starting work (Required)
